At Pittsburgh® Paints, we’re working continuously to provide our customers with environmentally gentle, superior performing products. One measure of our success: we developed the first paint to be awarded the coveted Green Seal® Class A Certification -- Pure Performance®. It contains zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), which means it has no detrimental effect on air quality. Pure Performance® also has very low odor, making it possible to paint a room and occupy it all within the same day. These facts are particularly important to residences that have either small children or seniors living in them.
While Pure Performance® is a major breakthrough, it was just the first of many PPG "green" innovations. Today a number of our products are recognized by the Master Painters® Institute (MPI), an independent coatings testing organization, for providing maximum quality while substantially reducing impact on people and the environment.
